New system to up date old system

Guys I just bought a new Westinghouse furance 54K btu (for back up) and a new 2 ton compressor/ heat pump new 2 ton coil, Honeywell filter box... was laying it out to measure up plentums to connect it all together and found the furance discharge air side to be 17-3/4" by 11-1/4" and the coil was 16-1/4 by 7-1/4 which in my opinion will choke down the air flow. The system is 410a and I asked the supplier to sell me a 2.5 ton coil but they refused saying the 2.0 ton coil would work better with the 2.0 ton compressor. Another HVAC man told me up grading one size on the coil would greatly help the cooling of the unit. Also I forgot to tell you it is a 13 seer and I want to make sure I have plenty of air flow. Do you think I should return the 2.0 ton coil for a 3.0 ton coil and will a 3.0 ton work with a 2.0 ton compressor heat pump?
