modern air conditioning is a good book to start with, very comprehensive. copeland refrigeration manual is excellent for mechanical training, free download, but hard to find. I do not know of a good electrical book, probably exists.

I fully agree! My original is about the same age as yours. That is a really hard book to beat for a learning tool and a lifetime of valuable reference. Well worth the money, I would say it is a ''must-have''. My original was a school-book, newer one is a state test recommended book. I'll bet alot of schools are still using it.

It covers pretty much everything and is written pretty good. Exellent to learn with, over the years I also bought ''modern plumbing'' and ''modern carpentry'' as exellent self-training tools and they work very well for me. They are the kind of books written in a way you can sit down and read them without any assistance and learn stuff on your own.

And reliance, if you can get pro status there are links to alot of educational stuff on the internet somewhere on this site, several pages of stuff/links.
