Is it possible you have the fan set to circulate instead of auto? I know if I put mine on circ it will come on at random times to help circulate the air.
We recently purchased a new AC / Heating system from Carrier along with their Infinity Controller. We notice that the AC kicks on sometimes up to 2 degrees before the setting. Is that normal?

Is there a dehumidify option on your thermostat?
As therm implies. The cool to dehumidify option may be enabled.
And it may be trying to keep your RH level low.

Thanks. Yes, it has a dehumidify option. I've temporarily turned it off to see if that's it.
Thank you all for your replies.

Maybe adaptive intelligent recovery? Not sure if Infinity does that or not?
