    Hurtin for Certain

Just finished up a "duct repair" job in a crawl space. Ducts were strapped up with bailing wire which were rusted and breaking so all the ducts had fallen to the ground. 90% of the insulation was gone. Ducts were attatched with duct tape only, not 1 screw in the whole system. Turned into pretty much a complete re-do.

Was it once common to install metal ducting with no screws? How come I hurt more now on crawl jobs than when I first started? Age I guess. Im tired.

In the 60's code in some places allowed for a tape only install.
A company here decided crawls were confined spaces and would require vent fans, radio communication, and a 2nd person outside the space. They don't do crawls anymore.
    Tracers work both ways.
