I suppose you aren't referring to the little window unit on the white house?

nope lol!! I believe in quality installs over brand name but crappy work like this will give Goodman a bad name in the next year or so when the flex rots away and clogs up the coils and kills the unit. Not to mention, the drain can't do its job as the front of the unit is up hill. The unit is just sitting on the ground.

I would have to give them the benefit of doubt and guess that this is temporary until fittings are made to deal with it. Especially since the old unit is sitting there still. Either that or DIY.

you would be surprised. This dealer is known for running flex duct under houses on a regular basis. I pass this job everyday on the way to the shop. Its been about 3 weeks and nothing has changed. I would say its done.

    Confused

Where's the county or inspections dept at? I would make an anonomus call and report that kind of job. Sadly, the window unit next door will probably outlive this unit.

If it never rains, or if there are no rodents, the HO really doesn't have a problem here. The old unit could be used for future parts.

I kind of like the idea of less grass to mow. Nice install

Looks like he left my area and went to your area. And no this one was not meant to be temporary. I'm supposed to clean up this mess for them.

Hmmm, we just had a heatpump + ductwork installed and it is flex duct in our crawl space. Should we be worried, was this a bad idea? What should have been used, metal? My mother (Alzheimer's) came to live with us so we had to jump in and get this done without being able to research at all, now I am doing what I didn't have time to do and I am reading this site a couple of hours each day, education can be a scary thing when it's after the fact!

I wouldnt looks like Joe Homeowner bought himself a Goodman and hooked it up himself , you might hurt his feelings. Cant hurt his common sense. You can go next door and see it you can reinstall the old one in the white house, probably still works and is worth more than the house.
You sure are cocky for a starving pilgrim.
