    Yogurts have plenty of bacteria in them & id dare say a fair heat-load due to the molecule collisions. Sounds plausible.
    The primary function of the design engineer is to make things difficult for the fabricator and impossible for the serviceman.

    Also once your copper stub leaves the bottom of the fridge make sure you add a trap to it. To create a seal in the drain pipe. I would add a piece of poly tube underneath.
