Wow,the contractor needs some assistance.If the coils are not mated to the furnace as shown in the install manual,that adds a lot of static.
Can't see the pics well enough,at the beach,wireless only connects outside and it's sunny here.
Have you GC call Carrier if the contractor won't,as well as calling yourself.

Along with my blueprints I found my Certification on Compliance...
It has the HAVC info on it from the acrhitect.
Total Heating Load (Btu/hr)
Furnace 71967
Sensible Cooling Load (Btu/hr)
ACSplit 34794
Design Cooling Capacity (Btu/hr)
AcSplit 42387
Maybe that helps with the sizing

Is that for just one area of the house, or the whole house.
That load doesn't call for 2-5 ton units.

Would running a zone unoccupied cause this? I havent seen this one before and the unit of course will not run... I dont know what the tech did to cuase this...so now half of my house is not working....

Adjusting for design 75 degrees indoors and a true 2000 cfm you have a solid 5 ton cooling load with a .75 shr.

Had some issue with Infinity with horizontal box type coils mated up to furnace and the design of the coil would increase static so, we transition between the coil and furnace and it decreased the static right away.
If you have air handlers and your static is still 1.00 ;you still have issues and will continue to get fault codes for static.

The OP needs some serious help with this one.
You should start with the the GC and Carrier to get a resolution.

Nice system if install right, sounds like a few problems. You should first get load calculation done for cooling capacity and then see if duct work is compatable. Factory Authorized Dealers have 100% customer satisfaction guraunteed backed by Carrier. I would strongly reccommend them because have more committment to trainning than most dealers.[

Unfortunately not all CFAD Dealers are as qualified as you.But it's a good place to start.

R U Carrier dealer. As FAD in Canada we have to do 1 customer service coarse 2 days, 50% of technicians have to be journey certified and we have to do 2 NATE or Carrier University courses every year, Me and 1 other are heading to syracuse on Oct 4 08 for 1 week. I have a lot to learn yet and this site has helped me abit. I am the only FAD in my province of over 2 million people. It a good sales tool.

Check for authors of various articles and lead ins.

Some just send people to the required classes,NATE,etc., and keep doing things as they did before.
This is a tough business,and consumers often look for the low price,which you can't offer if you are doing all or most all things right.

I assume that should be up in the attic under the air handler? I know there is a drain pipe that runs out onto my patio...No safety drain pan?
Well.....for an update Carrier is coming out to look at the units next Tuesday. Aslo, I guess someone else from the local contractor is going to check it out this morning who is more familiar with the Infinity systems. I will post up later tonight or this afternoon with their findings from today...
