Goodman Troubles
Help!- Goodman Air Handler is sweating on the inside of cabinet. I've checked
returns for leaks and changed the speed on blower motor to low. Goodman
rep was not very helpful. I've installed a trap on the condensate drain thinking
maybe the blower was pulling water into unit. If anyone has any suggestions I
would greatly appreciate them.-Thanks.

where is the unit located. is all the insulation still on the cabinets? im not sure i understand the question? when does it "sweat", exactly where, what is the issue you are having?

Slowing the blower down just added more water to the problem.
If its an air handler and not a furnace you are 100% right to put a trap on it.
That probably fixed your problem.
Leave the blower on for a few days to dry out the air handler.

Unit is sweating inside near controls and Heat Strips-this is at the top of the unit-on this unit the fan is above the coil-sweats constsantly inside-all insulation is intact. Could this be a system problem-return air?- not enough air?- Help!

Probably a high return static problem.
Call your contractor back, and ask him to check the static pressure of both the return and supply.

The bottom line is that there is too much moisture in the air. You need to determine where that moisture is coming from. Where does the return air duct draw from? What is the temperature setting in your home? Has the issue slowed down since installing the trap? What model of indoor and outdoor units are we dealing with?

Half basement. So its horizontal?
Is it laying on the correct side?
Slowing the blower down wont help.
Basements are very humid so you could be pulling in return air from down there.
Sounds like it may be upside down. May sound like a dumb thought but we have seen them that way.
Can you post a picture of the air handler?

I've seen a few too. It's not all that dumb of a question.
