4 ton Goodman on a 1000 sq ft house - $700 per month electric bills.

This is a condenser with a customer-invented "keep dirt out" device.

This is the supply air for the 4-ton system.

This is the Return air for the 4-ton system.

... so since there is no airflow and the unit freezes up and doesn't cool the house (but keeps running) the customer is adding extra BTU capacity.

This extra BTU capacity helps for the 4-ton system which the customer told me was "too small" to cool the 1000 sq ft home.
This is what happens when I take photos of things OTHER than bad A/C installations:

MAN talk about hillbillies I just love that swamp cooler on the roof beeing used with the A/C, and the outdoor water heater that looks like it's plumbed in with garden hose another great idea save money on copper. This guy is just a engineering marval at work.

Your not going to sell him a 5 ton are you . Since the customer already knows he needs a bigger unit

And sell him a roll of plastic so he can wrap the whole unit to keep all the dust out.

I'm thinking a gallon of gas and a match well, probably don't need the gas.

Remember folks, people like this also have the right to vote. Don't forget to exercise your right to vote. We need more of "us" to outweigh "them". Not that either candidate comes off as a great choice in my book, but oh well.

Looks like it. Maybe they have figured out how to bottling up "natural" gas.

Nope, just south Phoenix. About 50,000 homes here that look like that. Next time you fly into Sky Harbor, look down right before you hit the runway, you'll get a good glimpse.
