FX Firmware versions

I am confused when adding an FX device in FX builder
N2 Comm will show a controllers firmware version such as
.04 or .05

When I add adevice I will get version choices
as 0 ,1 or 2
It is usually hit or miss for me selecting a firmware version
I have heard that Johnson will still sell FX-16's with
old obsolete firmware versions
I may have a few.

I can’t answer your question. If your looking for a tip I suggest you try to build your code in assemblies and avoid any of the X_m( use 2 “and” modules instead of a “and_m” x_m) modules this way you can edit the tag line in notepad and reuse the code in different controllers.

FX Builder User Guide page 31 you will find a table with the FW version of the controllers and the corresponding version on the FX Builder

The FX16 non rev A has a round battery in it. Use software 000

The FX16 rev A controller does not have the round battery, Use software 001
