ICE CREAM Machine INFO Needed?
Hello, My company wants me to order an ICE CREAM machine, for our offshore vessel, but we have limited people and time to service such a unit. Does anyone know of a simple machine, maintenance wise, that is still large enough for 100 personnel daily. Thanks for any advise you can provide...D.

Are you looking for a soft serve ice cream machine? Does it need to be water cooled or air cooled? I'm pretty close to you, I can help, e-mail in profile.

I work offshore out of Texas on a pipelay barge. Just looking for ideas/info on a soft serve unit that isn't high maintenance, or complicated to refill, it could be water or air cooled. Thanks...D.

Water cooled would be a little less maintainence since theres no condenser coil to clean.
The auger and drum assembly on soft serve machines all have to be cleaned and lubed regularly. As far as filling, its as simple as lifting the lid and pouring in the mix.
Taylor makes a good machine.

Taylor makes heat-treat machines that only need to be broken down and cleaned every two weeks:
