Could anyone give me some info on how to clean a heat recovery wheel.
Do I wash it, blow it out, or just replace when its dirty?
I have washed them before with diluted evap cleaner and LOW PRESSURE water from a hose.
When your there cleaning condenser coils, clean the wheel, check that the brush guard is actually doing its job. I use compressed air to clean them. Water and dirt makes muddddddddddddd.
I would consult the manufacturers suggested method for this to insure longest life. I have used low pressure water before and it worked well.
It might get loud!
Go to page 34. Tells you why NOT to clean wheels.

Most heat recovery wheels are selfcleaning. It also depends which type of wheel.
