It just really irks me and the timing seems so strange right after we started having issues. These people don't seem smart enough to change the wire back around is why I really want to check that. Any help there?

Again, they couldn't make the compressor go to ground. It just happens. It's an electrical component. We CAN'T give you any more information in the public sections. Peroid. You will get banned if you keep it up. Or the thread will get locked. (most likely choice). It is what it is, get over it and move on. No disrespect intended. I too will unsubscribe now.

To the point where I don't doubt that they would've done something like this to cost me some money. Now can I get some answers or not? If you guys don't want to help thats ok, but I don't get whats not right about my question. If they willfully destroyed my property I can get them out, but I need some sort of proof.
There is no way to prove that something was intentionally done and even those of us on this site who are professionals at this would be hard pressed to know how to short a compressor.

You are on the wrong forum for your questions. We are here to resolve problems not to CSI for suspicious landlords.

NO ONE SABOTAGED THE UNIT! More likely then not poor install, maintenance, mismatched components etc. have just wore the thing down. Speaking of mean; you sure sound like one mean landlord.

Is there a security deposit at stake here?

I only came back to give some good news. After some investigation we have a suspect in the grounding of this unit. He goes by the name of "The Run Cap Bandit". We suspect him in approximately two hundred grounding incidents. He's in police custody right now. Bond was set at five hundred thousand dollars. We can all relax, and get a good nights sleep now. If anything else comes up, I'll post it here first. Thank You ladies and gentlemen. Good night all.

And you know this how? You don't. You sound like you may be the deadbeat tenant.

Sir, you have been told by literally everyone of the professionals here the same thing. Why do you continue to beat a dead horse when every expert on the subject has told you exactly the same thing? Something caused your unit to short to ground. It was not sabotage. You have been told what the most probable causes could be and you continue to argue. Why ask a question of experts when you only want to believe something that is simply not feasible?

I forgot. After my last commentary, it subscribed me again. So , here goes. If you can't/don't believe us, then find an electrical web site and ask there. Will you believe them? They'll have no dog in this fight. None of us here can seem to get the point across. Those poor tenants. Weren't you voted "Land Lord Of The Year" two years in a row? Believe me, we're all trying to show some kind of respect to you but, it's getting almost impossible. Please respect us, and our answers. Thank You sir.

Most of the time maintenance of the A/C system is the fault of any problem. The people that are renting are more time victim to, rather than a contributing factor to bad A/C performance. Usually the land lord doesn't explain proper maintenaince to the tenant. I know that the basics should be common sense, but common sense isn't common anymore. Everyone should be looking to CYA. If everyone did, the grey area would be a heck of alot smaller.
