You could probably count the number of impact points and come up fairly accurate.
Someone should try a comb or just place a bid.

Sh*t, that's a Carrier. All it takes is a hard RAIN to do that damage!
Seriously, I hate those coils. You can't spray a hose on it that has ANY reasonable water pressure at all without folding the fins right over. They are the thinnest I've ever seen! True Heavy Metal Geek

I've lost count on how many roof top units damaged by hail!
I don't understand by some units don't have them..
When we were in Chicago in June, riding the El, i've seen a few Rheem/Ruud roof top units with the hail guard cut off!

Tell me about it. IMO there 50SX condensers are the worst, not only do they bend but if there a few years old they just fall apart. Originally Posted by PaysonHVAC

Regular pressure from a garden hose will push fins in, let alone hail. They are the worst to clean.
