    40 Ton Trane Intellipak

Anyone Have Any Good Tips On Changing Condenser Coils On A Sehfc404htg6d69? Changed One (both Pieces) Today But Some Hardware Is Tough To Get To. I'd Like To See If Anyone Has A Routine On These. Did One And Have 5 More To Do.

we did 2 of the 4 coils on a 100 or so ton a few years back.I forgot the size, it was about 2 years ago. We had the crane lift the top off the unit over the coils we were changing and just lifted the coils out from the top. Went smooth for us, how are you guys changing them?

PS: dont forget to cut the steel from the coils and hand them in. We got almost 500 for the 2 coils we changed.

Can you slide the coil out of the unit with a couple of helpers? Can you crane the coils in the shipping crates? You have to get inside and remove ALOT of screws.

Don't lift by the headers or you may end up with a leaker.

    Thanks

We've done 3 systems now and it does go pretty smooth with 4 guys. They slide out thru the side after taking out ALL THOSE SCREWS.
