    Question Condenser runs and stops

I installed a new condenser a few months ago June 08. York 13 seer 1.5 ton. At first pressure was irregular on highside 350-375 psi. Balanced highside pressure to 225-250psi. Then lowside pressure shot up to 80psi. Balanced lowside psi to 70 psi. Unit runs ok for 10 minutes good sweat on lowside pressures are ok,then shuts off. Although highside doesn't get warm, in fact it didn't get warm at all. When I balancing the pressure there was a lot of refrigerant oil recovered(milky white). Is this unit oil logged?

If you don't know, then don't do. If you don't know and still do, then be prepared to pay someone else a lot to undo what you did and then do it right.

If you do know, then do. But do it right. Otherwise, you may not be doing it long.

    Moisture-condensibles

When you installed the unit did you vaccum system down? Did you use a micron gauge? How low did you vaccum the system down too? Does the system have a filter dryer?

    Sounds like moisture problem!

    Good Luck
