I would say no. Rebates are available now for some brands. I know Lennox has one. Like someone else said you usually have to buy the top of the line equipment and air cleaners for rebate

It may end up evening out plus you'll have the higher utililities also...

At least if you did it now you could take advantage of the energy savings of your new equipment this fall and winter...

end of September, so yeah, I'll be watching for those rebates.

Lennox, Amana, and York seem to have strong rebates

    Trane's & AS are OK

Rheem/Ruud's seem weak, Twili could correct me about that one.

Fall incentives should be right around the corner.

I wouldn't wait until spring, prices will definitely go up by then.

Let your estimators know up front you will be waiting to sign until after the fall incentive becomes available.

The best time to buy from a pro is when they are not insanely busy. I got my furnace quotes near the end of heating season (late Feb-early Mar) and had it installed before the start of cooling season.

Not only did I get some good quotes from eager pros, I got the install scheduled right after the equipment came in, less than two weeks between sign and turn on.

A similar opportunity is coming up for you, it's called September. Everyone's A/C has been fixed for the year, and few have turned on their furnace yet. Make your calls in late August and schedule the quotes for early September. Install in mid/late September before all the no-heat calls start rolling in. You'll get a good deal and the pro will be able to buy new shoes for his school-age kids.

Most companys will put a 30 day expiration date on their bids, so dont expect the price to be the same forever or even go down for that matter with "fall incentives"
