    Copeland Scroll 2.5 Ton Issues?

I heard from a rumor from a friend today that Copeland is having locked rotor issues on their 2.5 ton Scrolls. Has anyone else heard of any issues?

I just replaced the 2 ton Copeland scroll at my house in December. It was dead shorted though. All windings to ground. I am just about over my Heil.
    2- Defrost stats
1- compressor, contactor, dual cap, drier
    1- indoor coil
    2- sequencers

I am sure a little bit of it has to do with the install. When I bought the house I reinstalled it. It was only a few years old. The installer put the A/H on an open box and sitting half on my floor drain. Which the new box made my return opening 20"x6". The previous owner was just rotating the 20x20 filter in the rack once a month. Then I cut out an extra 15' of lineset that was coiled up in the crawl space.
