Water Leak ?

m new to job im at now, about 4 months, he sends me to to a water leak call, ceiling hung unit in bank , cant remember name of a/h but has a payne condenser on roof, fixxed water leak but noticed when a/h was shut off coil did get hot, checked stat quick and was not calling for heat, let boss know and said i need to find why coil gets hot when not calling for cooling, he said you are there for water leak, i said ii know but this is what im finding, when not cooling it heats coil, he said he didnt believe me but said ok with a sarcastic snicker, i did find contactor fused closed so it kept cmpressor on always and when cooling called just swithed rev valve, well the next day i put contactor on his desk and said told you there was a problem i dont get it but oh well

Gotta tell ya i love that avatar of yours , if i wasn't so lazy i'd start working on mine. What u did on that job is what i always preach to younger guys in the trade that have worked with & for me. To be pro-active , you outshined your boss in that call , and i hope you keep that attitude . Always check everything and don't be afraid to talk to anyone. In your career you'll be talking to a lot of different people . Make sure of your facts , lookem straight inna eye & lay it on them in laymans terms , you'll be surprised at the custs. that'll ask for u . Thats how u make yourself valuable to your co. and yourself. ok ok i'm off my soapbox now , you'll go far , Just hang around here with us ...............Jack

hey guys thanks, i get greif all the time cause im slow, but i try to make sure its all working good, do i screw up hell yeah but oh well it happens and id rather admit when i screw up , i hate to lie then guilt sets in im not good with guilt, although i am finding more issues with problems which were caused by this company, but anyway have a great day all
