    Hitachi Screw Compressor

Has anyone had experience with slipper ring repairs on the 6005SC-Z screw compressor?
I will be doing the tear down soon and wonder if there are any "Tricks" I need to be aware of?
I have the kit and manual from AC Component Specialists.

    screw comp

You need to have large metric allen wrenchs and take it slow because the slipper seal is tender. Most importantly if there are any wear marks on slide valve you must rebuild the whole mechanical end which takes about 72 man hours and lots of money approx 9,000.00

    Thanks Allen.
I'm hopping this repair corrects a loading problem. I can force the compressor to load by energizing the load solenoid. It will unload as oil pressure leaks down when the solenoid is de-energized.

I have a hard copy of the basic 005 info and another one if you need, but it sounds like you got the Mott's for docs.

While we're on the subject of screws, I would like to ask what is the basic price difference between the Hitachi and for example the FuSheng. I had the pleasure of helping install our own unloading system of pressure switches, because the BMS folks for the site were into short-cycling and killing compressors and stuff.
A couple of other folks with whom I worked even pressed in a new motor into an old Fu Sheng, and away it went. Then we installed unloaders to try to increase runtimes.
So is the main difference between FuSheng and Hitachi $$$ and some semblance of longer life ?
    Just asking.

    screw compressors

A slipper seal is like a oring going around the slide valve it works like a piston ring.

The FSU screw comp is one screw that only the manafacturerer should control because of its itricate operation
