AC Unit Running All The Time Data Captured...

Hopefully someone can help me troubleshoot my problem. My Carrier unit runs all the time during the day and sometimes falls behind keeping up with the set point on my T-Stat.

    Details listed below:
4 Ton Single Zone System made by Carrier and installed in 1996
Single Family Home 1975 Sq Ft two story cathedral ceilings

    Today’s Readings at 5:00 PM
    Oustide Air Temp 80 Degrees
Suction Temp At Condenser – 59.2 Degrees
High SideTemp At Condenser – 83.8 Degrees
    Suction Pressure – 66 psi.
High Side Pressure – 255 psi.

    R-22 Freon
I calculate my superheat at 20 Degrees

This evening my return temp at the return grill was 64 degrees and the supply temp at a register was 56 degrees. Only 8 degrees differential

Is this unit low on Freon? Or is there something else going on?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So your house is at 64 degrees?

If you don't know, then don't do. If you don't know and still do, then be prepared to pay someone else a lot to undo what you did and then do it right.

If you do know, then do. But do it right. Otherwise, you may not be doing it long.
