    could we get a picture a good service tech will have no problem finding the filter if it has one

    with everything so cold outside it should be getting colder in the house.

    i just checked and it has cooled down to 78 now. guess we'll just try it til monday and call the repair guy if we really need to.

    do you think it will be okay with the sprinkler on it?

    also, when is the fan blade on top supposed to come on?

    Yes, you must be getting atleast 2.2 GPM on the unit for it to work we must see a pic

    If you hook up a few electric resistance heaters, or better yet a propane heater and direct them at your outdoor coil, this will rectify your problem. The problem here is that you have to force the "coolness" on the coil into the house. By heating it up outside you will achieve this goal and will probably even mange to maintain about a 29*f temp inside the house. Good luck!
