Have you ever connected to an E2 before with a "cat5"? (crossover)

You have to set the IP on your laptop to a close I P

    For instance

    RX#1 IP 2.2.2.2
    RX#2 IP 2.2.2.3
    RX#3 IP 2.2.2.4
    laptop IP 2.2.210

    Subnet 255.255.255.0
Default gateway on E2=2.2.2.1 or2.2.2.0(I think I've even left this blank

Edit communications in ultrasite to the store to one of the controller IPs like 2.2.2.2. should connect. If connecting to the router.

Whichever RX/BX set ultrasite IP to that controller connecting to.

    Good luck

lap top IP only needs to be one digit ahead of the bx.just go up one on the
    last digit.
I love the smell of phosgene first thing in the morning:

yes i have connected before.but each rx is not echelon together i know about the last digit been off by one and the l.a.n but if you go through the bx you only get the bx thier using cat 5e to each rx so when you unhook the cat5 of the bx to do an tcp/ip connection you stop comm between other controllers so you dont drop the other rx's?
