    Hmm Trane part No. for "Magnet Kit" to stop check valve rattle

    Does anyone know the part number for this kit? and if it is still available?

    I worked at a company that sold Trane for 8 years. I never heard of such a thing being a "factory part". Use a magnet and electrical tape or wire tie.
    Or have a trained pro change the valve if it is that annoying.

    Believe it not there is such a part, i'll post the part # Monday when I get to work.

    Is this quite common on Trane heat pumps? I work on the commercial side of the buisness so I do not install or service residential. This is actually my first install and it's on my own house so I would like to get the proper part if I could. I don't really want to change the chech valve either. Thanks jimj

    I thought they had fixed that issue, but maybe not. Lets just say it was not uncommon.

    The unit that I installed had a manufacturing date of 2006, its a R22 unit so that might be why, old stock
