    When your outdoor temps are down to 84 for a couple days in a row, you might reconsider the dehumidify option.

    It is quite possible but stage 1 can't really do much useful cooling. It will still be running quite a bit on that stage. It takes the sun going down before stage1 will actually start to drop the temperature on its own.
