16yr old system installed 3 years ago, Why in the world would you want to take a 13 yr old condenser home and put it in your own house. Are you really a tech? And for 10 years?

Troubleshooting without actually measuring temperatures usually leads to the inability to find the problem.

Been An Installer For 7 Years And A Tech Plus Installer For 3 Years . No One On Here Has Ever Changed Just A Condenser Out. The Company I Work For Has Been Around For 40 Years And Does This Sort Of Thing All The Time . Maybe You Guys Are Right But Maybe You Go By The Book A Little To Much. Take The Blinders Off

Newer 13 SEER units lose capacity on older coils designed for 10 SEER systems.
Remember, just because they sd it all the time, doesn't mean its right. Or that the customer is getting what they paid for.
Experiment on your own house all you want.
