    It’s funny what you see on a roof.

    The date on the side of the unit was 2005. I assume no permit was pulled on this job. I don’t know what worse the rope on the conduit or the tape on the electrical.

    A Trane condenser coil with a leak?

    I can't hardly believe it. Was it the 2nd or 1st circuit that is low on charge?

    I can see where you would be concerned if they used tape or rope. But, they used tape and rope; so it's good.

    My guess would be roofers. They're bad about rigging stuff like that.

    I've had my fair share of fixing leaks in that exact spot.
    Sometimes you get the other Voyager variety where the distributor tubes coming off of the OD TXV will rub and leak. All my experience on leaking tubes on Goodman Heat Pumps prepared me to fix them in the Tranes. At least Trane made an ATTEMPT to zip tie their tubes so they wouldn't rub holes in themselves.

    This definately looks like the roofers were here. Did they also break the condensate trap off too? The roof looks recent.
