    Republic Furnace with Gyroscopic Balance

    I have come a cross this furnace in Berwyn IL It is a Republic Furnace Featuring Gyroscpic Balance. The model number is fhb-125 and the serial number is 2275. It also says Autogas Company Bellwood IL a town or two away from berwyn. I am just looking for any information.

    You can't get parts for those things anymore!

    Does it have a seal balancing a ball on it's nose on the badge?

    I live in Berwyn. 35th and Oak Park ave.

    Remember that scene in "Dirty Dozen" when whatshisname asks the trooper where he's from?

    Just like that furnace...Neeeeever heard of it.

    Is there really a Gyroscope in that unit? WTH does it do?

    There is no Gyroscope that I could find. I talked to another tech and he said it refered to the gas valve but i am still not sure. I did a patent search the first patent was from 1933 and the last patent was from 1950. The same tech does work in this town told me they stopped making this furnace over 30 years ago.
