OK here is the deal,
This is a small 2000 sf machine shop. This place gets hot so we bought a 28,000 Btu air conditioner to knock out a little heat and humidity ( I know its not enough but every bit counts. Instead of cutting a big hole in the cinder block (we are renting this place) I decided to build a room around our air compressor ( It creates a lot of noise and heat ) with a fan blowing in from the bottom ( shown in pics ) and a fan blowing out at the top. I then mounting the a/c unit into the room so it would expell the hot air into the vented room.
It has worked great to quite the compressor and remove the heat but the a/c unit is acting up. when I first turn it on, it blows nice cold air, after about 5 or ten minutes it blows room temp air. is it possible I don't have enough ventilation? Looking for some answers and thanx for all help

It sounds like you are just starting out. Good luck with your business and hopefully some day you get so big you can contract professionals to set up a properly vented and cooled shop. Until then it really sounds like your compressor room is just too hot and the air conditioner condensing temp is too high. More air needed.

Looks like not enough air for the condenser.
Congrats. you killed it!
Dumping the heated exhaust from the AC onto the compressor is going to kill the compressor as well. Like the AC guys suggest, you need to bust a hole and mount that unit so the exhaust is outside.
Mounting the ac unit in the block - what about the side vents in the unit?
You can't move enough air through those two tiny openings to dispel the heat build-up between the a/c and the air compressor. You would've been better off getting a split system and drilling small holes through the brick wall for linesets and wiring vs. that current setup. The condenser section needs to be outside where it can reject heat from the shop properly.
shophound has the best idea yet-
Install a mini-split. Way more cost than a window unit(and more cooling), but you will have something to take with you when you get the high dollar, repeating, 5 axis job in a couple of years and move into your own space : )

Not familiar with the terminology, what is a minisplit?
also,
We actually have two units in the same complex, they are not close to each other though. The guys in shop two are going to want the same as shop one so we will end up spending double the $$$$$. We don't need it to be 70 degrees we just need to knock a bit off the 95 ultra-humid days.
