    Calgon Calclean

My York Modular Air Handler Coils HC024 Installation Manual calls for using Calgon Calclean only, but I can only find liquid in 1 gallon (that gets mixed 1 part with 7 parts water). While I don't mind having an ample supply I think 1 gallon will last me several lifetimes.

    Can I use something else?

    Thanks in advance.

You indoor coil should only be cleaned by a trained technician. You can clean your outdoor coil provided you have the proper equipment yet it is not recommended by any means.

what you need to do is get a service contract with your local contractor and have them clean the coils. They are trained to do it properly and know what to do and more importantly what not to do.
I fully support the military and the War on Terrorism.

If you don't know, then don't do. If you don't know and still do, then be prepared to pay someone else a lot to undo what you did and then do it right.

If you do know, then do. But do it right. Otherwise, you may not be doing it long.
