Innerflow and conventional covers?
I think, that I want both my outside units covered when not in use.
Which would be around 7 to 8 months of the year of no use.
Suggestions and ideas?

As long as it's not a heat pump, they are only used for cooling.
Putting covers on condensing units is just asking for trouble. Even if you use the vented ones that allow the inside to breath so it does not rot out from the inside out, mice and other critters just love making their homes in covered areas that have lots of nice electrical wiring. Not to mention how many people forget about the covers until the cooling stops after the first hot day of the season.

I never recommend those covers. When I did resi, everytime they were totally covered you would see excessive rot. Not to mention the mice and critters. If you are going to cover anything just cover the top to keep the leaves and junk out of the bottom. This way the unit can still breath.
For mine, I cut a piece of heavy plastic (home cheapo) the same pattern as the top opening and added 4 river rocks. Done
Sometimes when I consider what tremendous consequences come from little things, I am tempted to think there are no little things!
Yea, some times they cause more rust.
Moisture gets trapped inside.
And warranty doesn't cover rust damage from covers.
