    Furnace location

I,m adding an addition to our home for my father in law, about 720 sq ft and want a seperate unit for this addtion so that my father in law can control. HVAC contractor wants to put in split system and place furnance unit in crawl space (have plenty of room) would this be a good place as not to take up limited space in house area. Wanted to go with Gas pack system but its hard to find a 1 1/2 ton unit. Please advise

Lots of furnaces installed in crawlspaces.

Just leave good access for maintainence.
