Rheem a/c question
Looking at the specifications for 'JEZ' models with comfort control, there is the statement:
"When matched with a Prestige series Air Handler, the system adjusts airflow to help control humidity........"
In this context, does the term ' Prestige air handler' refer to a specific type of hardware (air handler), or does it include the (Prestige) Mod furnace?
Also, if the coil/condenser/'air handler' combo is delivering less than 16 SEER, does this also apply and must the 'high SEER' option be selected?
Thanks.

Just for clarity, I should say that the model is the RARL042JEZ 16 SEER.

Its refering to VS blowers.
Yes, coil and blower must be a match to get the 16 SEER.

Been, is that yes, my configuration can adjust, or yes, you must realize 16 SEER in order for this to work? It would be misleading for Rheem to make this statement, being that they don't know what coil will be matched to the unit. They also don't know what tonnage is being considered.
My combo, Mod furnace & stat, cited a/c w/matching coil yields 14.8 SEER. I am not looking for 16 SEER. What I was wondering was whether the hardware combination has the ability to adjust the fan speed for dehumidification and if '16 SEER cooling' must be enabled.
Thanks.

The VS blower can slow ramp, and be slowed down by a humidistat.
They have a dehumidify on demand terminal, that slows the blower.
RBHM air handlers do atleast.
