I use drain tablets......all the time

so whats the real question????? Cause I know you got one hidden there somewhere. Might as well come out with it now.
I fully support the military and the War on Terrorism.

If you don't know, then don't do. If you don't know and still do, then be prepared to pay someone else a lot to undo what you did and then do it right.

If you do know, then do. But do it right. Otherwise, you may not be doing it long.

pan tabs are enzymes. like rid x in a septic tank. bleach, chlorine kills the enzymes and everything else, unfortunately it causes corrosion. pan tabs work great.

Instant corrosion, not advised. Save the tablets for the pool and spa.

What about putting bleach is the condensate vents (PVC)?

Have roamed the HVAC isles at the big box stores; never saw pan tablets. Do they sell them?

No chlorine.....Look at the bottom of a pool those rust stains you seen in the shape of hair pins and quarters are from one day of being in 2-10 ppm pool water.....any more and the process speeds up.

The only time I would use bleach is for a main drain not a condensate drain line. If it's that bad blow it out/vacuum it out or replace it.

Chlorine = Hypochlorous Acid = Oxidizer = Metal Rusting

You could pour bleach down the vent but, most clogs happen in / at the the drain pan inside the cabinet. I don't think Home Depot or Lowes sell pan tablets..........yet.

I actually have seen them at our local Lowes. They had them, and coil cleaner, it was over with the window unit A/Cs, in their seasonal section, not in the "HVAC" section if you will.
