    Attic Ventilation

I live outside of New Orleans and my question is:
Is it better to have the attic sealed without gabel vents or soffit vents or ridge vents?
    I currently have all 3.
    Thanks for your input.

A sealed attic is going to be a hot attic.

    You need some venting.
I fully support the military and the War on Terrorism.

If you don't know, then don't do. If you don't know and still do, then be prepared to pay someone else a lot to undo what you did and then do it right.

If you do know, then do. But do it right. Otherwise, you may not be doing it long.

best attic for there is sealed, with the insulation either on top of the deck or below the deck. If there are gable walls in the attic insulate them. Keep the heat and humidity out of the attic.

Do not allow the attic to be a massive solar collector /sauna

venting is needed to prevent icycles

I am south of Cuba, more humid than the big easy, sealed attic is the best way here
