find a good installer

i understand it is important to get a good installer for a furnace and that they should calibrate the new unit once it is installed (as Jim has pointed out).I have not seen or heard of this. In the states you have NCI to find a installer. I live in Princeton B.C. Canada. What Questions should I be asking the installer is it called calibrating or something else.

a good installer will build a clean install with all wires routed and tied, messes cleaned. fire and set the btu input to match design rating. set proper air flow for delta t rating of unit installed (gas furnace). balance airflow to all registers and instruct the home owner on filter care, thermostat programming, and yearly professional maintenance to keep the new equipment running at its best. set test balance.
