carrier ezflex or lennox healthy air?
Help we have a carrier infinity system going in on wednesday (both ac and furnace) We have a asthmatic with sereve allergies.* Like the idea of the Merv 16 with Lennox, but don't really understand all the techie stuff (first time had to replace ac/or furnace).* Is it possible to put the lennox with the infinity system.* We have the ezflex ordered as of right now but it is only rated at a Merv 10

Did you check the replacement cost and avaliability for the Carrier or Lennox? Any filter cabinet, Lennox or Carrier can be adapted to any furnace. My preference would be the Spacegard 2200. Replacement filters are inexpensive and easy to find.

I don't know about the spaceguard 2200, we have been leaning towards either the lennox or carrier because they are the two systems we were down to. can't use a purifier or eac do to my asthmatic daughter and docter has advised against it so looking for the best alternative

also i do know the higher the merv rating the higher the cost of the filter but more concerned with better quality of air than cost I know it won't be cheap.

If I were you, I would consider the Lennox PureAir. It does not produce ozone therefore it doesn't irritate any existing respitory problems. The Lennox HC cabinet with a MERV16 filter is always a good choice (consumer reports #1 rated if that's worth anything) if you don't want to spend the extra cash for the PureAir.
