    it should be just after the traps. that can be a hazzard if its not high enough. If the drain cloggs after it, it could allow water to over flow and damage your ceiling.

    If there is a tee before the trap it is to clean and treat the trap and it does have to have a cap on it.

    The tee after the trap is a breather and no it does not have to be caped but as stated it has to have a pipe coming off the top higher than the drain itself.

    Make sure to keep drains treated once a month.

    I would check to see if the unit is double trapped causing vapor lock. No such thing as to much condensation . That just proves your evaporator is removing heat and humidity. You just need it to flow out.
