What is the tonnage and Sheer for a Lennox HS26-261-1P condenser unit?
I believe the unit its about 5 years old or so. The model is HS26-261-1P. The evaporator coil is C22-31-TXV-2. I believe they were both replaced at the same time.

Older than 5 years.
HS26-261-2P= Lennox freaky numbers 2.0 ton
C22-31-TXV-2 =Lennox 2.5 ton
Lennox numbers
211=1.5
261=2.0
311=2.5
411=3.0
461=3.5
511=4.0
651=5.0"Everyday above ground, is a good day".

I was thinking the same thing. I couldn't find any data on these particular units in Lennox's engineering data for the HS26. Maybe a Lennox dealer can look it up on Davenet.Older than 5 years.

The output on that unit is 20,000 to 26,000 Btu/h depending on matchup. Please see attached guide.

Thanks this is very informative.
Why would the evap coil be .5 tons oversized. Is this normal?

Typically to get better performance numbers. Looks like your setup is rated @ 13.00 SEER and 11.75 EER if I'm reading the earlier EHB correctly. Some new "baseline" systems can't even get taht.

on davenet it looks like the last year for the c22 coil was 1995.
the c22-31 coil was the preffered lennox match, 13 seer, 11.75 eer, 26,000 btus.
post serial #s and we can give exact age.
hs26 was next to the top of the line when it was made and we have many of them still running fine.

That's good to know. The furnace is a different matter.
It's a Lennox G12. It was made in 75. Everytime I get someone to come to my house they want to replace it with a furnace that matches up with output BTU in the old furnace. I don't believe that is a good idea considering people commonly oversized units back then.

Thanks for the #'s. When I come across these funky #'s on service calls or changeouts, I had to make phone calls to get the tonnage. I made note of them to keep in the truck.
