    Help!! Lennox coil match questions

I just bought a Lennox XC13-036-230 central air with R410A coolant, the contractor installed a C33-31B coil. I can't find this combination in the Lennox XC13 engineering Data published Feb. 2008. The contractor pointed me to ARI site and certificate #574650. The certificate rates the above combination @ 13 SEER but doesn't mention the coolant. My questions are:

1- Is the above ARI certificate for R410A? or only R22?
2- Is the above a good combination for a house 2700 sq ft?
3- Does the above combination provide 13SEER rating?

    Your help is greatly appreciated!!

c33-31b coil has the same match up as a cx34-31b as long as he used the 410 expansion valve.

no idea what your load calc calls for.

    13 seer 10.95 eer.

    what is an expansion value?

Thanks! But what is the expansion value and where to find it? I know it's an RFC installation..

The X series with Lennox denotes 410A refrigerant. Looks like it gets 13 SEER according to ARI. I don't see the matchup on davenet but I would say ARI rules.
    Its a good Life!

the page just before the rating matches shows the cross reference between the c33 and cx34 coils.

system is rated with expansion valve only.........

must use a larger coil to get 13 seer with rfc.

Thats what I saw on davenet also but the ARI shows it as a match and says nothing about an expansion valve. Is that somthing that ARI would note or not?

    Ari #574650?

Thanks for all the info, I am really confused now! My question is: Ari #574650 which states that XC13-036-230 is a match with coil C33-31 for 13SEER. Is it for an R22 or R410A coolant? How and where do I find this piece of information?

    xc13 is r-410 only.

c33 coils can be used with either refrigerant when the proper metering device is installed.

if the rating is for xc13 and c33 coil it is r-410.
