Mcquay PEH050 eye seal
Am trying to put this compressor back together. There are 3 spring washers for the wheel eye seal. Do these go in front of the seal holder? The parts breakdown is not clear on that.

Seal goes in first, then the seal retainer with the o-ring, flat split washer, wave spring, flat split washer.

Those were pretty good McQuay machines, still had a little Westinghouse in them. I learned a lot from a little duplex compressor machine with 2 ceo50's on it. Ran R-12, seemed like 6 or 9 hundred pounds, damn quiet when fully loaded, almost scary like. Stayed out of the mech room though when unloaded, they had an unforgettable sound to them.
Glad to hear ya got it going again. I've got a teardown manual around here somewhere but haven't had much luck finding stuff lately.

Built and converted all of the CE compressors and the CE-048-50 is the worst especially the 70's and early 80 vintage machines. I rank them along with a Trane Model "E" compressor.
