Carrier vs. Amana
- Carrier M#FV4BNF00300, 4Ton, PURON, Variable Speed Air Handler (Lifetime coil warranty)
- Carrier M#24APA348A003 PERFORMANCE, 13 SEERS, 4 Ton, PURON, A/C Condenser
vs.
Amana , M#AEPF48601, 4Ton, Puron, Variable Speed Air Handler
(10 year parts limited warranty)
Amana M#SSX130481, 13 SEERS, 4Ton, Puron, A/C Condenser
(10 years parts limited Warranty)
The price difference is $1,300. Is it worth it?

I'd rather eat the 1300
if its a better installation/company.
All things being the same, I'd take Amana, pocket the savings.

I prefer Carrier, and would want to be sure I got the Thermidistat Control/Stat for dehumidification set point and control.
However you'd need a FV005 to match the 4 ton outdoor unit.
Stright cool system, sounds like you are in a cooling climate,if so consider higher SER and two stage outdoor unit.
The price difference yiou show,in our area ,would not be the difference in equipment price, some would be the contractors price, higher price should equal a better install and service, but that's not always true.

Dash, do you mean I need M#24APA348A005 instead of M#24APA348A003?
Also, what is "Thermidistat Control/Stat for dehumidification set point and control"?
Thank you.

No ,it's the air handler and coil.
FV4BNF00300 needs to be FV4BNF00500
