Up flow question
We are having a Lennox system installed this week. We are getting the G61-36B-45 with coil CX34-36B-6F. We are also having two XP13-024-230 heat pumps installed, one to work with the furnace and one with a CBX32-MV-018/024 air handler. My question is this: Since the furnace is multi-positional, can the coil that I listed be positioned on a horizontal furnace or does the furnace have to be installed vertically?
Thanks!

Glad you made the decision 1894House. I think you'll be satisfied.
Lennox specifies this coil as "CX34 Up Flow Full Cased (with TXV) (R-410A)." It may be able to be installed horizontally, but a Lennox dealer will have to confirm this. I know the CH33 coil is horizontal.
Why no variable-speed blower for the furnace (G61MPV)? If this is on the first floor of the house, it's a good idea. Perhaps you left a number out of the model number because looking back at your previous thread I see you mentioned the G61MPV.

I thought all Lennox G61s were VS.

Thanks, Ryan. You are right, we are getting the MPV...variable speed. We have an old house (dirt floor cellar) and are hoping to conserve space for possibly finishing the basement at some point. We were thinking that maybe the furnace could be suspended from the floor joists, but we weren't sure if this coil will work horizontally.

I would ask your dealer about the feasibility of that idea.
