I've never seen a stainless steel coil.
I asked a similar question in another thread, but the thread topic wasn't right so I had a lot of good responses, just not on the topic I was looking for!
I am replacing my coil. I want the best one possible. I have read about brands (Carrier, Trane, American Standard) and material (Stainless Steel, Copper, Copper+Tin). What is the best coil you have run into? Very open-ended, I know, but we all have different reasons for liking things.
Also what is the best material? Stainless or Copper+Tin (seems Copper alone is problematic)?
TIA.

I've never seen a stainless steel coil.
My favorite would have to be whatever matches the outdoor unit.
How tall are you Private???!!!!
Slinky!!!:d
I've only seen s.s. in laboratory equipment. The tin plated copper or all aluminum is supposed to prevent the formicary corrosion problem.
My favorite coil is
The easiest one to get out
They all suck, every manufacturer has leaking evap coil issues
They have a MicroBlue coated fins for better water drainage, I don't know if it prevents formicary corrosion, that is the big problem now. I would like to hear from someone who has been using them. http://www.yorkupg.com/NewCatalog.asp?t=r&id=4
Coleman
No Heat No Cool You need Action Fast
Trane has an all aluminum coil, but you shouldn't choose a certain coil because of that.
Chose a coil that is a rated match for your outdoor unit.

You'll be able to find a dealer in your area. Hope this is helpfull. We installed
