    here it is:

I was trying to make the point that pulling your vacuum to 30hg on you gauge is not as good as pulling your micron gauge to below 500.

Other fellows were saying the pressure chart says 30"hg = 0 microns

big misunderstandng.........or hell of a way to screw with someone

i tend to think most are afraid to admit they dont use micron gauge

i have and use it but have seen many over the years that not only dont use one they would have no idea how to.

a lot will not or can not afford one and most companies refuse to buy it for thier people.

being a service tech useing a micron gauge imo may be a little to late in most cases. If the installers dont use it when they put the system in most of the systems out there were not pulled down properly. This imo is why it is more important to instruct the installers on the use of a micron gauge and insist the company to puy one for each truck.

i also admit there have been times when under the gun with calls up the ass i have cheated and not used mine

I would have to agree. It its not done right from the start then it will just develop problems later on down the line.

The percentage does seem to be weighted a little heavy. But it is a poll on a site that stresses the use of a micron gauge when pulling a vacuum, so that could have something to do with it also.

I think I only worked at 2 companies that the company didn't have a micron gauge.
Now if anybody used it before me, is another question.

I worked for people early on that regarded it as a waste of time and their money.

If the morons knew how many hours I have saved over the years because I knew the vacuum was done, maybe they would rethink the timed vacuum strategery.
