i am just wondering here
i have admitted when under the gun cheating and not using mine
mainly if i pump it down and lock the valves the do a repair i am not so concerned and will just pull a vacume and go.
how many others will admit to doing the same. Not a new install but on a repair and a **** load of calls left

Once or twice maybe.....unless this is to be used as evidence....then never.

Did an evap coil today....with the addition of a few schrader core removers and no manifolds for vaccuming....I pulled the sucker to 340 microns in about 10 minutes. So yeah, time management AND good tools will help tremendously!
I need a new signature.....

I can honestly say that in the past 14 years there has not been a time that I have hooked my vaccum pump up and NOT checked it with a micron gauge . I guess you can say it was beat into me from an early age .

Can't say I remember the last time I cheated like that.
I've done it.
But not for many years.
