So, can you tell us how you feel about this brand? Don't beat around the bush.

We've installed Coleman in mobile homes for years with few problems. In the past two years we did have one blow a condenser coil and one lose a txv equalizer tube blow apart. Those were under the revolv name. Hopefully it isn't a growing trend (though quality seems to be a trending issue across the board)

    Were these mobile home application?

Trane uses Hungarian inverter boards, not Chinese.

Some say they last longer (Trane) cost more. Got one now R22 with hole in alum tubing (condenser coil) but I am scared to repair close to joint (1 inch) where copper connects. Also 12 years old undersized system. Man wife 3 kids-late on house payment (overdue) & NO $$$$ for A/C - They may go with rent to own 120 mo payments. Franchised A/C company.

Trane has a repair kit for the aluminum condenser. It's basically a flare Union. Trane is no better than any other brand IMO, they just have or had a very good marketing team.
