We have a 10 year old Trane gas fired absorber
Trane says it has a life expectancy of about 12 to 14 years
Two companies were called in
One replaced all the hand valves with packless valves ,then leak tested with nitrogen and a trace amount of refrigerant,
It holds a vacuum for two days
They put the lithium bromide back in
Then in a couple of days
it will not hold the vacuum .
Where else can these leak
Trane claims that the tubes are good and if the leak was in
the water tubes the vessel will fill up.
