Ohhh I like a pulled pork samwich, your Blt sounds good too, but I'd have to say my favorite would be just an old bologna on white bread with mustard...

I love bologna on white bread with mustard too, but I always fry my bologna a little 1st to bring out the flavour. I slice slits in the edges so it lays flat as it fry's.

    Too many favorites too list.

Top five: (not necessarily in order)

Roast pork with sharp provolone and long hots.

Cheese steak with fried onions and fried hot peppers.

Italian hoagie (that's a sub or hero to most of you).

Fried chicken cutlet on a sesame seed roll with bacon and provolone, mayo, lettuce and tomatoes.

    Corned beef special on rye.

    Man, I'm hungry!

    I've two fav's ....

A Capacola & Provolone sub with Tom, let. red onion, Italian Dressing, and hot peppers.

The second one is from a sub place that is no longer in business: Grilled chip steaks, provolone, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, grill onions & peppers, on home made Italian bread. (Haven't had one in over 30 years)

The all time favorite is Limberger cheese and sliced onions on buttered seeded Rye bread.

Of course this is not a sandwich that you can eat everyday unless you live alone and in the deep woods.

If my will power gives in and I actually eat lunch I order Liverwurst on a hard roll (aka bulky) with sliced onion, American cheese, lettuce and mayo.

Runner up would be roast beef, lettuce and Russian Dressing on "nice" white bread.

Although the limberger samich sounds tasty I would have to say a good quality burger would top my list followed by an Italian baked sub.

It sounds like someone is very close in vicinity to South Philly.

    Take care.

A "real" turkey club, no turkey lunchmeat.

A Primo's Italian Hoagie from South Philly or South Jersey (they have opened up a few Primo's down the Jersey shore). The bread makes the sandwhich.

A Pizza Steak - a Philly cheese steak "wit" Provolone or Mozzerella cheese and pizza sauce. Hold the peppers and onions. Cheez wiz sucks.

A Pit Beef sandwhich from Baltimore (has taken over for my cheese steak craving). Beef cooked on an open flame and sliced thin on a commercial slicer. Prefer it medium. With BBQ, onion, and horseradish, or LTMO.

Yeah those are pretty good too, haven't been to Baltimore since '01, but I do remember the pit beef sandwiches.

a good alternative to a samich is a home made roll--kinda of a oblong soft taco shell w/ ham, turkey, colby cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, green pepper, mustard and/or mayo.
    roll it up and enjoy
