The Honeywell VisionPro IAQ will dehumidify by slowing the blower down on a variable speed air handler.
Good luck.
In being that an air conditioner has two jobs (cool the house and reduce the humidity), it seems that most thermostat's that I have come across as a homeowner are strictly geared towards lowering the temp. Are there also stats out there that will control the compressor based upon AC? Meaning, if I want my house to be 75 degrees and 55% RH, currently, my stat will turn the AC off if it hits the target temp (regardless if the RH is below the threshold or not). Is there something out there that would allow it to continue to run to remove the additional humidity? Or are we talking about a dehumidifier at this point since the house may get too cold?

Okay, but that would only work with a variable speed blower. That I don't have (that I am aware of). I can have a HVAC person come and adjust something internally, but I don't think that makes it variable (correct).
The 8301 VisionPro thermostat (which is not the IAQ model) has the ability to overcool by three degrees in order to bring humidity levels down. What this means is that when the temperature set point is reached, if the humidity level is not satisfactory, the system will continue cooling until either a three degree drop occurs, or the humidity setpoint is reached.
There is a more cost effective way to control humidity in the home. Reduce the amount coming in from outside. Your system will then spend less time wringing it out and more time bringing the temperature down...with less run time.
Shopbound would you mind calling Twilli sometime as Twilli has a couple of questions regarding that stat....# in profile...thanks
No Heat No Cool You need Action Fast
LOL.. Yep, its TH8321, 3 stage heat, 2 stage cool, plus over cool to dehumidify.
